Thanks to the support of the Florida Legislature during the past two years, we’ve made great progress in reducing the size, cost and scope of government and expanding opportunity for entrepreneurs.

While other states raised taxes to compensate for lower revenue coming into state coffers, Florida cut government spending to balance the budget. Florida’s taxes were cut by $1 billion while increasing spending on education by the same amount. We repealed 1,700 costly, burdensome and outdated regulations. As a result, government is smaller and smarter, fewer businesses are paying taxes, and money once spent to comply with government rules will now be available for businesses to hire new employees and invest in capital improvements.

Perhaps more importantly, Florida welcomes business growth and encourages investment. Our state offers a diversity of cultures and communities that can meet the needs of your clients and your business. From tight-knit towns with deep roots to fast-moving, global hubs of commerce, Florida has a place that is the perfect fit for your growing business.
