The furniture at Mission Avenue Studio has already stood the test of time.
The staff there just helps it catch up with the current fashion.
Bernabe Somoza, the company’s founder, says he could fill several warehouses with discarded mid-century furniture clogging the auction market in Southwest Florida. The bulk of the tables, chairs, sofas and cabinets filling his studio have arrived with the region’s snowbirds and been discarded as their owners downsize or die.
