“When the vaccine came out, everyone was struggling,” says Ming Yang, founder and CEO of Orchard. “There was a frantic feeling of trying to win a lottery ticket.”

The program matches one of Orchard’s “tech coaches” with an older adult for a 20-minute phone call. A cross between IT professional and counselor, the tech coach researches locations where the vaccine is being offered, locates signup forms and scheduling systems and navigates the online registration process.
