And although there is nothing like the $543 million tax refund corporations reaped in 2020, the apparent death of a data privacy bill saved what could have been hundreds of thousands of dollars for a mid-size company to comply. Women at Werk supporting women in the workforce

For the past five years, Women at Werk has been helping women as they climb the ladder to success - whether it’s at work or through a self-owned business. The company hosts an annual empowerment conference, and this year’s conference took place Saturday under the theme “Get in the Game.” It also celebrated a new workspace for women with a photography studio, private offices and a conference room. Gas prices dip again in Florida; Sam's Club in Daytona is cheapest in state

Surprisingly, Daytona Beach on Monday morning was home tied with one of the cheapest places in Florida to fuel up: the members-only Sam's Club next to the Interstate 95/LPGA Boulevard interchange, which was charging $3.89 a gallon for regular gasoline, according to GasBuddy.com. An S&S Express station in Bonifay in Holmes County was also charging $3.89 a gallon. The super-sized 104-pump Buc-ee's across the street was charging $3.93 a gallon, tied with a handful of stations in other parts of the state for third-cheapest. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity announces the Orlando area January 2022 employment data

Governor Ron DeSantis has announced the Orlando area gained the highest number of private sector jobs among all metro areas in January 2022 and also had the fastest private sector over-the-year job growth rate. Orlando added 110,100 new private sector jobs, increasing by 10.1% over the year. In January 2022, Orlando’s unemployment rate was 3.8%, down from 7.1% reported in January 2021.
