Barbara Fernandez is managing partner of national law firm Hinshaw’s Miami/Coral Gables office. In 2019 she became the office’s partner-in-charge, the first woman in that position. She supervises some 67 attorneys and staff and directs the office’s mentor program. Fernandez has found a niche in consumer and class action litigation; clients include lending institutions and debt collection agencies. Her parents emigrated from Cuba in 1970; she is on the firm’s diversity committee, the Cuban American Bar Association and National Association of Women Lawyers.
