Trisha Widowfield, partner at HPS, offices Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, litigates medical malpractice and personal injury cases. She was co-counsel in a $6.5 million wrongful death verdict, then the largest ever in Volusia County. Early in her career, she defended hospitals and nurses in malpractice suits; she has seen both sides. Widowfield is a member of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and a vice president of Ms. Esquire, a network of some 10,000 women lawyers across the U.S. who meet online and in-person.
