A founding partner of Continental, Jesus Suarez helped establish the firm’s reputation nationally and in Latin America in legal, political and business settings. An accomplished trial lawyer, he represented former president Donald Trump in the New York civil fraud trial brought by the New York attorney general. Also, he is representing unsecured creditors in the restructuring of Puerto Rico, one of the world’s largest bankruptcy matters. Suarez is a mentor to law students and young attorneys. In 2021, he was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
