It’s September, which means it’s time for Labor Day. And speaking of labor, there’s a lot more of it going on in Florida than you might think. The state’s rapidly growing manufacturing sector makes batteries, boats, contact lenses, medical devices, semiconductors and satellites, among other things. Ranked as the nation’s 10th most productive state for manufacturing, Florida is home to more than 24,000 manufacturing companies that employ more than 400,000 workers.
