Lake City
As the organization’s executive director in Lake City, Donna MacRae serves the underprivileged people of northeast Florida — from writing grant applications to handling cases and managing a staff of more than 50 people. She began her legal career as a staff attorney in 1990 and served as managing attorney, pro bono director and deputy director before taking the reins in 2023. Now, with a characteristic can-do attitude, she leads an organization that covers 17 counties and four judicial circuits, with five offices.
