Clermont plans sport- and wellness-themed community: Olympus

For years, the small city of Clermont, a bedroom community west of Orlando and north of Walt Disney World, has tried to separate itself from other suburbs by carving out a niche as a home for elite athletes. The city, which uses the slogan “The Choice of Champions,” includes the National Training Center, an Orlando Health-owned facility that is used by some Olympic track-and-field stars, and the headquarters of Special Olympics Florida.
