Florida Trend | Florida's Business Authority

A Fresh Look for 2020

You may have noticed a new look to the cover of this month’s Florida Trend. We updated our logo and tagline — our previous logo and tagline had been in use since 2006. After 14 years, it was time for a refresh — just in time for the new year. The new logo delivers a fresh, streamlined and sophisticated look. Our new tagline, Florida’s Business Authority, conveys strength, integrity, consistency and expertise — across all media, from print to events to online.

The magazine remains our backbone, but Trend is about much more than print these days. In addition to the 12 monthly issues of our magazine, we publish five annual specialty publications. Nearly every month, we hold events — roundtable discussions that bring together the state’s leaders to discuss issues important to Florida.

We also have an extremely strong website that delivers nearly 1 million page views per month. Our daily morning and afternoon business eNews alerts have more than 45,000 subscribers each, and five weekly industry eNews alerts focus on health care, education, real estate, small business and movers and influencers.

If you are not receiving our eNews alerts, I encourage you to sign up. They’re all free and provide a terrific source for staying on top of Florida’s business news. Sign up at floridatrend.com/alerts.

Speaking of good news sources, this month’s 2020 Economic Outlook issue is full of insights from business leaders throughout Florida. You’ll find statistics and trends involving employment, demographics and key economic sectors in all regions of the state.

January is also our legislative preview issue. Our editorial team identified issues and lawmakers to watch in the months ahead.

And our Economic Backbone feature this month focuses on the latest therapies and advancements from Florida’s leading cancer care institutions and researchers.

Anchoring this issue is a special feature focusing on Tallahassee and Leon County. You’ll learn about the region’s major business sectors, including workforce, education, health care, transportation, lifestyle, sports and recreation and arts and culture. Reading the section will give you a whole new understanding and appreciation for all that is happening in Tallahassee and Leon County.

During 2020, Florida Trend will be publishing its 12th annual Best Companies to Work for in Florida survey results (endorsed by the HR Florida State Council, the state affiliate for the Society of Human Resource Management). This feature helps Florida companies find out how they rank in pay, benefits, career training/development, leadership and job satisfaction. There is no cost to participate, and the 100 top companies (across small, mid-sized and large categories) will receive statewide recognition in Florida Trend’s August issue. Register at bestcompaniesfl.com by Jan. 24.

I sincerely hope 2019 finished as you had hoped and expected and that 2020 brings you continued success.
