Florida neighborhood ranks best for real estate buying and investing
A real estate research firm has picked a neighborhood in Southwest Florida as the "best neighborhood" in the United States based on schools, crime and other factors. The Pine Ridge neighborhood in Naples, Florida, was the nation's best based on six criteria: affordability, home price appreciation, school scores, crime rates, unemployment rates and property taxes. Florida Realtors picks its next CEO
Florida Realtors has chosen its next CEO. The statewide professional group said Thursday that its chief operations officer and general counsel, Margy Grant, will become CEO on Jan. 1, taking over from the retiring Bill Martin. Principals of CREC diversified from their usual turnaround strategy by acquiring a fully occupied strip shopping center in Tallahassee for $15.9 million. Hobby Lobby, CVS and Bonefish Grill are anchor tenants at the shopping center, located northeast of Florida State University amid golf courses, country clubs and gated communities.

› VyStar closes on purchase of downtown Jacksonville building
