› Buddy Dyer files to run for 6th full term as Orlando mayor
Buddy Dyer, Orlando’s longest-serving mayor, is mounting another run for the city’s top elected job, he announced Monday. In social media posts, Dyer announced his bid for a sixth full term as mayor, an office he was first elected to in 2003. “Serving as your mayor and working with our community to move our city forward has been the greatest honor & privilege of my life. I’m proud of all we have accomplished — but our work is not finished,” he tweeted. “That’s why I’m asking you to put your faith in me again this November.”  

› BF Aerospace relocates 100-plus jobs to Sunrise
A South Florida company that distributes airplane engines and airframes will soon move to a larger industrial space in Sunrise. A limited liability company connected to BF Aerospace paid $14.2 million for a 61,000-square-foot industrial building at 5200 N.W. 108th Ave. on April 14, according to Vizzda, a commercial real estate data company based in Tempe, Arizona. The seller was Chauvet Realty Investments, managed by Albert Chauvet.

› Niche SWFL real estate firm sold five months after founder’s death
Worthington Realty, a boutique real estate company specializing in residential sales, rentals and development, mostly within Lexington Country Club in Fort Myers and surrounding communities, has been sold. The acquisition follows the late November 2022 death of company founder and partner Jeff Darragh, according to a statement.

› Alachua County park to get $2 million in upgrades. Here's what we know.
One of Alachua County's largest parks is about to receive some much-needed upgrades. Crews will soon begin construction on a new all-inclusive playground and parking lot at Veterans Memorial Park in southwest Gainesville, according to Jason Maurer, the county's Parks and Open Space director.
