Serene Harbor is a certified domestic violence shelter. Renee Torpy leads its legal department as injunction for protection attorney, the only such in Brevard County. She was an assistant state attorney and assistant public defender and has experience with criminal and civil litigation. Many of her clients cannot afford a lawyer, have nothing. She represents survivors seeking protection through injunctions for domestic, dating, sexual violence, and stalking. She gathers evidence such as 911 tapes, medical records, police reports, text messages, and pictures of injuries.
